Symptoms of Anxiety by Type

Generalized anxiety is characterized by worry, restlessness, feeling keyed up, fatigue easily, difficulty concentrating, irritability, muscle tension, and/or sleep disturbance.

Panic disorder is primarily characterized by physical symptoms like a pounding heart, sweating, trembling, sensations of shortness of breath, chest pain, and nausea. Psychological symptoms include fear of dying, loss of control, or feelings of unreality.

Social phobia or social anxiety disorders involve a fear of social situations and fears of scrutiny by others. It is the most frequent form of phobia.

Separation anxiety is characterized by recurrent excessive distress when anticipating or experiencing separation from home or certain people or excessive worry about losing people close.

How Are These Disorders Treated by ETT®?

ETT® has been found to be effective in treating a variety of anxiety disorders, including generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, social anxiety disorder, and obsessive-compulsive disorder.

Generalized anxiety symptoms are often rapidly eliminated in a brief series of sessions. Single phobias are often changed within a brief series of sessions.
